Title: Sour Cream Apple Squares

Yield: 12 Servings
| 2 | c | Flour |
| 2 | c | Brown sugar |
| 1/2 | c | Butter |
| 1 | c | Walnuts -- chopped |
| 2 | ts | Cinnamon |
| 1 | ts | Baking soda |
| 1/2 | ts | Salt |
| 1 | c | Sour cream |
| 1 | ts | Vanilla |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 2 | c | Apples, peeled -- chopped |
Preheat oven to 350=B0 Prepare 13x9 inch pan Combine flour, sugar and butter and nuts until crumbly. Press 2 3/4 cups of this mixture on bottom on pan. To remaining crumbs add the rest of the ingredients, stirring in apples. Pour over base. Bake for 30-40 minutes until done. Serve warm or cold. Would any of you wonderful cooks out there have a recipe for a Greek or
Middle East Salad Dressing which contains the ingredient sumac or sumaq in
it. We have been trying to copy the recipe which we had recently at a
local restaurant (chef would not give us the ingredients). We think it
contained sumac. Many thanks for your help.
